How and Who Developed Google? – Chapter 4th
How Google developed is such question which arises in
everybody’s mind. While doing SEO you should know who developed Google, how
Google developed and many more such related questions. So Here I am going to describe
who developed Search Engine Google and how…
While doing graduation in 1995 in computer science, Larry
Page and Sergey Brin met at Stanford University.
In 1996 Larry and Sergey work jointly on an activity to
create a search engine called Backrub. BackRub checked the number and quality of links coming back to websites in order to estimate the value of a website. BackRub operates on Stanford
servers for more than a year—eventually taking up too much bandwidth. This Search Engine (Backrub) was created when
Larry and Sergey worked on a research project while doing there PH.D.
Next, fueled by the rave reviews that BackRub received,
Larry Page and Sergey Brin began working on Google.
They called the search engine
"Google" after the mathematical term "googol," which refers
to the No. 1 followed by 100 zeros, to reflect their mission to organize the
immense amount of information available on the web. I will explain you mathematical term "googol” in my next upcoming
posts.
Domain name for Google was registered in September 15, 1997,
and the company was incorporated on September 4, 1998.
It was all began from their dorm rooms in friend’s Garage
named Susan Wojcicki, in Menlo Park, California. Larry and Sergy built a server
network using cheap, used, and borrowed PCs.
Their first hiring
was Craig Silverstein, a fellow PhD student at Stanford.
